Nanci chairs Earth Day San Clemente (a partnership with the City and the Task Force) and the Annual Art Auction.

Committees

Events and Funding, Nanci Mavar, Chair
Responsible for developing outreach efforts and seizing opportunities to participate in existing events. This committee oversees planning activities, including our annual flagship Earth Day event. This committee is also responsible for soliciting grants and other funding sources to provide sufficient resources to provide monies for Task Force initiatives.

Adopt a Beach, Colleen Canfield, Chair
Individuals, Families, Businesses, Organizations or Clubs select an area of beach that they will be responsible for cleaning up, at least twice a month. They will be given a large litter and debris collection bucket, calipers (litter grabbers) and a data recording sheet. There is no fee to Adopt a Beach.

Blue Water Business Awards, Bill Hart, Chair
Responsible for creating and implementing the Blue Business Awards. These awards will be presented to local businesses, schools and associations that make use of creative methods to reduce their impact on our creeks, beaches, and ocean.
